When Neal Farinah emigrated from his native country Trinidad to The United States, he did not know where his destiny lied; He left with all the ambition and determination to become who he is today: one of the industry’s most respected and sought after hairstylists.
With extensive classroom and hands-on training, Farinah ventured off to the States to follow his dream of being a renowned celebrity hair stylist. He worked in a few hair salons and acquired an extensive clientele; the word got out that Farinah was an exceptional stylist.
Farinah quickly gained notice in the industry when he styled Kelly Rowland, Keri Hilson, Mya, Danity Kane, Solange, Michelle Williams, and Beyonce. His mastery has been featured in Beyonce’s “Irreplacable” video, Giorgio Armani’s “Diamonds” fragrance advertisement, American Express commercial, and in Marie Claire and Elle magazines.
For Neal it is not just about styling hair, but about creating a whole experience for his clients. He says being a great hair stylist is about developing a real relationship with his patrons; learning about whom they are and the image they want to convey to the world. Farinah’s greatest joy as a hair stylist is bringing a smile to his client’s face. Making his customers feel amazing is the reason for which he has been so successful. Farinah knows it is an incredible privilege to do what he does.
Currently, Farinah is developing a line of hair products and is running his own beauty salon in New York City.
